There are so many ellipses that I read this at breakneck speed, which I'm sure is supposed to mirror the speed at which the protagonists get into their love affair.  But the twist at the end comes so fast and is so lightly developed that I had no time to process it, much less the aftermath.  Applause for the frank handling of sex and the discussions surrounding it, not to mention the rather graphic details.
