If you love WWII fiction + wine + France + dual timelines, this is a MUST-READ! I absolutely loved it and was so, so impressed with the story and the intricate detail regarding vineyards and the wine industry. The WWII narrative was a unique perspective that I haven't read before, even after reading MANY WWII stories. This is definitely on my list of favorite books of Summer 2018!

the .5 star deduction was simply because I thought the plot wrapped up a bit too quickly toward the end, that's all!
