Do Nothing: How to Break Away from Overworking, Overdoing, and Underliving by Celeste Headlee

3.0

Headlee's guide to breaking away from the cycle of overworking at the expense of living and enjoying your life. This book is broken into two parts. The first part is a history of labor in North America/Europe as well as information on human psychology. The second part is made up of actionable steps to prioritize human connection and personal health and wellness.

I personally feel that many of the steps (especially the steps that would make a real difference in someone's life) are not attainable by most of the working force in North America. Working less hours is not always an option; working from home is not always an option; and taking frequent breaks is not always an option. BUT, for the small group of people who can work on all of these goals, I think it would be helpful. Regardless, the section on labor history and human psychology was interesting.
