5/5 Stars! Two girls falling in love and plotting to kill their evil rapist king and overthrow a corrupt government? Sign me the fuck up! This story was so compelling I could not put the book down until I finished it. The story is rich and beautifully written with stellar world building. I loved the diverse cast of strong women as well. I also adored the wonderfully written LGBTQ+ rep that Natasha Ngan has provided. Natasha Ngan touches on tough topics and portrays the survivors of sexual assault in a realistic way while also proving how strong and brave survivors truly are. I loved the message that survivors are warriors not victims.  10/10 everyone needs to read this book.  Can't wait to follow Wren and Lei's story in the next book!
