The Boys Who Challenged Hitler: Knud Pedersen and the Churchill Club by Phillip Hoose

5.0

This is an amazing story of teenagers in Denmark, angered by their country passively allowing the German occupation during WWII, who decided to fight back. I love that the author was able to interview one of the members of the Churchill Club and document his story before he passed away. Knud Petersen felt passionately about what he and his friends were attempting and wasn't afraid of the consequences. Courage or the naivety of youth? Probably both, but they left their mark on the Germans and their own country. Definitely heroes!
