I feel like my copy of the book was missing chunks of pages because this really could have been good if some things were explained a bit more. I just don't get how a book with such gaping holes in it can be given five stars.

...he's suddenly kidnapped by his substitute teacher who is obsessed with H.P. Lovecraft and has a plot to save humanity. A plot to save humanity? What? I don't remember reading about any plot that the substitute teacher had, much less one to save humanity.
In the beginning I was entertained while reading. I thought it was interesting and I thought it was going somewhere, but in the end I was left disappointed.
