I loved the majority of this book, it was difficult to put down, I couldn’t figure out who the killer was until the end and I loved the writing style. However when I got about 75% in and
her dog died
I seriously considered DNF’ing it. There was so many other options for plot points that could have been used instead of that one to get the same result and I absolutely hate when this is part of a book. I went into this book blind because I enjoy the suspense of not knowing much in advance so it might be my own fault for not checking trigger warnings first but if it wasn’t for that part I would of rated this book 5 stars. It almost ruined the book for me but I end up finishing it after and enjoying the ending of the book. That being said, I will never re-read this one.
