After growing up in the spotlight as the daughter of a famous rockstar, Cassy caught the eye of a dangerous obsession that would haunt her for years. Now, over a decade later, that person is set to be released, and she needs a bodyguard. That’s when Black Hawke Security is hired for the job. Joshua Hawk isn’t part of the bodyguarding department, but something about Cassy compels him to take on the role. Can he protect her?

This book was good but ultimately fell flat for me. Keeping in mind that it’s a free book currently available, I felt the characters fell for each other too quickly, with little buildup or tension. I don’t think I’ll remember these characters, as they didn’t stand out. The main plot centered around being protected from the stalker, which was interesting. I did enjoy the chapters from the stalker’s unhinged perspective, though be mindful that they can be graphic. Overall, it was a decent read but didn’t leave a lasting impression.
