Wow, this was such a moving memoir. I have a habit of not reading the synopsis before going into a book so I did not realize this was about a case I so vividly remember from several years ago. Chanel wrote this with such strength and articulation. To see how compelling her story was for a judge to not side with her and give her assailant only a few months in prison infuriated me. I cannot begin to fathom her strength and I am so glad that she is able to be a beacon of light for victims of sexual abuse to let them know that their story is believed and worth telling.
