Wow this book really packs a punch! One the one hand it has probably the sweetest kid in a single parent romance ever and in the other hand it had this dark mysterious secondary plot where the MMC is trying apprehend a murderer. I really enjoyed this book (I couldn’t stop reading!). I liked Paisley she loved hard and has such an open heart, much like little Evelyn. Their bond was really sweet and touching. I feel like there wasn’t quite enough resolution with Caleb I needed him to forgive himself and see that he is worthy of love, this needed a little more page time dedicated after the kidnapping . I also did find it so annoying that he kept calling Paisley a reckless angel- so not a hot term of endearment. That being said I did enjoy this book and would definitely recommend it. I’m very interested in seeing what happens next in book 2!
