The Hollow by Jessica Verday
3.0

First of all, I love Washington Irving, so I was very excited to delve into this book. Unfortunately, the book lacks a lot of history that it could and should have. In fact, this book is actually a 500-ish page book about a teen girl who has no idea how to grieve, has some pretty selfish parents, and likes to go on and on about how to make perfume, and then another 6-ish page book that's absolutely amazing and exciting.

I wish it had been the other way around. And I'm almost too annoyed with it to not buy the second book, but now that the author has given us the conclusion that we all came to within the first 50 pages, maybe she won't keep hiding it behind descriptions of the snow and intense necklaces.

Also, did anyone else notice that there is literally an "ABC" of love triangle thing going on here?

A -- Abbey
B -- Ben
C -- Caspian
