The Academy by Robert Dugoni

3.0

A very short story with an interesting protagonist. The sexism displayed by the protagonist was rage inspiring, as intended I'm sure. I did wonder about the year it was written. Dugoni hits the nail on the head as far as depicting the way sexual harassment goes unreported. However, I think there is a cutoff point for how much a woman will take, and that depends largely on the era she was born. Which is why I wondered about when this was written. I will have to check on that after I finish the review. Of course what I would put up with and what other women would put up with is not necessarily the same in any era. Full out grabbing a woman's breast and her crotch in front of a whole class of people is well beyond the cutoff point for me. (The bad guy must have been a Trump supporter.)

At any rate, I'm interested in reading further. I hope future installments cut back on the sexism, not because Dugoni is glorifying it. He is demonstrating how disgusting it is for sure. I hope he cuts back because it gets to me so bad I can't concentrate on the other great parts of the story telling.
