The Atonement by Kiersten Modglin

I wasn't planning on continuing with this series after how that train-wreck of a second book had ended. I actually hated the sequel and it became one of my most disappointing and worst books of 2022. But here we are, reviewing the final book. This series is very easy to get through and they're not very long so I decided to just wrap it up and see how the story would conclude.

And surprisingly, I really liked the ending. Perhaps it's due to the fact that what I wanted to happen did happen and everything that went down in the second book kind of paid off. Don't get me wrong, it's still very over-the-top, ridiculous, and entertaining but the tone and the point of the book is different from the previous two. There's not even a single sex scene in here, which is a breath of fresh air considering the subject matter of the other ones. Its main focus is revenge, and the main characters spent all their time in the book outsmarting one another.
