In this story we follow Scarlett, who desperately wants to get away from her father through an arranged marriage, and Tella, who just wants to get away; sooner than Scarlett gets married. Scarlett gets and invite to join Caraval this year; after sending letters to Legend for years and years. But nothing is what it seems and the game turned into a mission to save her sister.
It was a really fun book to read! I had to get into it a little because reading 3rd person after so many 1st person books is always a thing but once I got the hang of it I could hardly put it down. At some point I started questioning what's real and what not and trying to solve the puzzle. There was a small romance element to it but i didn't feel like it overshadowed the main storyline in any way :)
Very curious to see how the next one goes, with Donatella. I do hope we'll still see more of Scarlett in that one also.
