I don't like or care about any of these characters. If it weren't for the "StoryGraph Reads the World" challenge, I probably wouldn't have even picked it up, and I certainly wouldn't have stuck with it this long. Since it isn't giving me a sense of the culture or lives of regular people in Malaysia or Singapore, I realized I'd be better off looking for some different Malaysian fiction.
