After reading more recent books from Taylor Jenkins Reid, I thought I’d give her older works a go as well. This was nothing special. Not bad, exactly, but not great. I just really had the miscommunication trope, and I wasn’t really rooting for Lauren and Ryan to stay together. I mostly cared about Lauren’s relationships with her family more than anything. The writing is still good - and I can see how TJR has developed to become exceptional in her other books. This was an easy read, but it won’t stick with me.
