Okay, I began by LOVING this book- the banter, the solid friendships, the way that this was not just a silly romance but rather something deeper and yet entertaining. The deeper themes of beauty, regardless of horror and death, and the complexity of the people who we love were refreshing. And then in the last hundred pages we're hit with a very explicit, lengthy sex scene that completely threw me off and, literarily, seemed discordant & off-key for the tone of the story. I also did not like the way things ended with *spoiler* Naomi. It seemed a bit rushed and there was no real closure. Also, sorry to everyone I began texting, recommending this in the first two hundred pages and then backtracked "ACTUALLY NO LOL" in the last hundred.
