I definitely reccomend it even if you are not greek. It gives a very accurate picture of greek islands at that time.
This is one of my favorites. The author has a very unique way of writing and the story is so perplexed and so simple and understandable all at once. The characters of the book feel very real, despite the fact that they are in 1930. It's a book full of emotions, full of human relations, struggles and joys.
It's about a love story, a very real and impossible love story. But more characters get involved in it, and the story each one of them has to offer is unique.
