I’m giving this book four (4) stars because it really made me feel things. Horrible, uneasy, Ineverwanttofeelthisagain things. It achieved its goal of inciting fear and I would say the end was satisfying, but I wish it was longer; we could see the unfolding of the end rather than a climatic scene and a retrospective recount from the omniscient narration. It kind of makes me want to read more thriller novels, but this was just so scary because of how unhinged the MC is… and I can’t help but think about something someone told me about these kinds of books written by men being a twisted outlet of their darkest fantasies… Yuck! I want to go back to reading romance now.
