The Iron Trial by Holly Black, Cassandra Clare
4.0

Okay, well, this book was much better than I expected.

This has actually been on my to-read list for a while, longer than I've had my goodreads account. And now, I finally got to read it, and I'm really glad I did. This book was so good, with all the plot twists, and character development and world-building. I guess it is meant for a younger audience, children or maybe the younger side of YA, but I still thought it was great. Which is impressive because now when I read books for younger audiences, I get really annoyed at the characters and sometimes things are insanely obvious to the reader and when the characters find out, it's supposed to be some hugely dramatic scene but it just makes me roll my eyes.

Also, I want to say how much I liked the plot of the book. I guessed some things, but not everything was super obvious and then there was this one twist that completely caught me by surprise. I love it when books do that.
