Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik

5.0

I loved this book, it's the first in a while that I've been so enamoured by that I've pushed myself to stay up late to finish. The way it acknowledges the original folk tale it works as a kind of retelling of and the parallels and hints of other folk stories woven into it are superbly done. There's a bit of hopping between points of view but I found it didn't detract from the experience and towards the end I rather enjoyed getting insight into the other characters.
