The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah

5.0

Wow! So many feelings I haven't felt in a long time living with an abusive father (not as extreme as the father in this story thankfully). I listened to the audiobook for this and it had me crying at how war can change people so much and how such a strong bond between mother and daughter can be formed esp in times of trauma. I laughed at Large Marge, one of my favorite characters, and was on pins and needles many times.

This is the 3rd book I've read from Kristin Hannah and one of her best in my opinion.
