I had sooo much fun reading this one!
Shifter romances are my favourite kind of paranormal but I've never been attracted to alaskan/wilderness romances (this one was small town) but I found this one so lovely and endearing!
From the lonesome heroine (after having finished the book I really like the title), the stern alphamellow hero, the tight-knit comunity . Lovely lovely lovely
A chill read but with the hints of the werewolf presence mixed with an external threat, alongside a fighted attraction, it was very entertaining and cozy.
My only slight complaint is that after the "I love you" things moved too fast for me.
I loved how she slowly came to see the werewolves traces. Also her not knowing that her ex was a vampire was strangely fine with me. In general I liked how aloof she was at he beginning. As I stated before I adored the comunity and how they interacted with them. Big, grumpy heroes are my favourite
Now some negatives:
I would have preferred if him being closed off and attracted to her (his wolf) had been explained more. Was just phisical attraction and him trying to fight it because of distrust due to his father leaving? (Edit: it's explained in book 3)
I also did not like the blood transfusion at the end and the possible implications. Nor did I like how a human could become part of the pack and have the mental connection. Summary: let humans be humans please
