He's a Keeper by Stacy Travis
4.0

**This book was given to me by Smuthood Reviews in exchange for an honest review**
"The press seems to like the idea of a grouchy soccer star reading to kids."

Holden had a very painful, very public break-up two years ago and hasn’t been the same since. He threw himself into being the best keeper for the San Francisco Strikers he can be--and maybe got into some bar fights, but when your live-in girlfriend debuts a Top-100 Song about cheating on you and falling in love with the other man, what are you supposed to do? When a horrible concussion forces him to slow down, he ends up at one of San Francisco’s public libraries with his niece. He meets Molly, a very chipper librarian who is insistent he is the kid’s hour Guest Reader every week.

Molly doesn’t know why she wants Holden to read to the kids, other than she really needs to keep her second job, and he puts butts in seats. When she drunk texts him on her annual Mope Day, she realizes just how much she’s attracted to him--much to her distress. Molly doesn’t want to need anyone or let anyone close to her heart ever again, but Holden is too hard to resist. Will Molly and Holden be able to let their walls down and see where this takes them, or will their baggage keep them at arms-length?

I’m on a sports romance kick, and I regret nothing. He's a Keeper helped me scratch the #soccer itch (I may have a thing for keepers, it’s fine)! I’m so excited to read the rest of the books in the series. This was the first [a:Stacy Travis|20016992|Stacy Travis|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1622143282p2/20016992.jpg] book I’ve read, but I’m really excited to read more! I liked how both Holden and Molly had baggage but didn’t try to hide it. If you love grumpy/sunshine romance, definitely check this one out!
