Jane Steele by Lyndsay Faye
5.0
AND the last book of 2017 was a winner!
Picked this one out at the library in the "librarian's recommendations" section. This one has to be one of my favorites I've read this year. Jane Steele is the author's rendition of a murderous Jane Eyre, though I have never read, I now most definitely want to! I loved the main character and heroine, Jane Steele. I much appreciated her dry and sardonic sense of humor, as well as her willingness to take things into her own hands. This is a page turner, and a lot of different storylines are going on but Faye seems to effortlessly connect it all together in the end. I will be reading more historical mysteries in 2018 I believe, all thanks to Jane Steele.
