The Consequence by Giana Darling

4.0

So, I went into this series with apprehensions because of course the cheating is a big no no to me. However, I just had to finally read the last Lombardi sibling book (that I have left until Sebastian’s series). And, well, in true me fashion I ended up loving the story! Honestly, I just love anything Giana writes and I can’t imagine not. I would read her grocery list at this point.

Book one was slow for me, it’s a lot of spice and the real conflict doesn’t start until book two. But boy when that conflict started I was hooked. I practically finished this last book in one sitting because I just had to get to Giselle and Sinclair’s happy ending.

I fucking loved Giselle. I don’t know what it is about her that I just gravitated towards like everyone else in this book (besides Elena haha). And Sin, okay here me out. Am I in love with him? No, but I love the way he loves Giselle. He’s so passionately in love with her that I can’t help but swoon. SWOON. Giana writes their story so beautifully as she does all her stories. I have yet to come across an author who puts such great detail in their side characters. She built an amazing found family for Giselle and Sin.

Many of you may be apprehensive to go into this book because you read the Anti Heroes in love duet and you adore Elena. I do too, but I also felt like I needed to see her past and I needed to see this side of her. The lovely @eileenreadss told me that Giselle and Elena are the villains of each others story and she was so right. I think getting both sides of this story was important! I understand both of these characters more now. I’m both unapologetically team Giselle and Elena.
