This was definitely a spooky season rom-com read. It was enjoyable and fast to get through, which is what I like about a rom-com. If I didn't read it around this season, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.
The characters and romance was cute, but very superficial and fast. The banter was great with very funny moment woven in. The overall feel of "doom" isn't really emphasized, besides one of the main characters literally cursed.
In general, I gravitate toward books with more further in depth characterization but overall this was a very fun, fast, light-hearted read for October.
