drkappitan 's review for:
The Sinister Booksellers of Bath
by Garth Nix
adventurous
medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven:
A mix
Strong character development:
Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus:
Yes
This is not among my favorites of Nix's worlds, and it's hard to put my finger on why. Susan's struggles are too similar to those of Arthur in the Keys to the Kingdom series - and at least I felt sympathetic toward Arthur, who acts appropriately for his age, whereas Susan comes off as a bit childish.
