I feel this one is mislabeled. It's clearly meant for more Teen readers than Middle Grade ones. (This is based on some of the ironies/aspects of H&H mirroring D&D as well as some of the unrepentant blackmail/extortion/theft occurring).

The book ended up being a DNF for me due to some of the mean-spirited aspects inherent in the writing and the general level of depression that most of the characters are struggling with. Concept was solid, H&H=D&D execution was fun, but the actual storyline left a lot to be desired.
