A quick read. Tragic in the lost love and with few words the emotion comes through easily. I could predict how the story would turn out but enjoyed reading it anyway despite how predictable it was. It’s one of those books that feels like a Hallmark movie - similar to a lot of stories in grandeur but enjoyable all the same. There’s a tender spot in my heart when it comes to WW2 so this is a book I’ll think about for a bit.
