I've never read anything from this author but I really want to now. I loved the style of  The Tea Master and the Detective by Aliette de Bodard  and I need to know more to fill in some of the gaps that this left me with since I haven't read any of the other stories set in this world. I love just how hard boiled and Holmesian this felt as well.
