A pity but this book is so poorly written. Information about the world is just dumped on us randomly, there's no character goal or personality to connect to, everything is told not shown, and I just found myself utterly bored. There's potential to have made the worldbuilding gel with the protagonist but it's not done here. When a book is still making me ask 'why should I care' this far in I just can't keep going.
