Edited the rating to 4 stars (15/02/2025) to reflect both my enjoyment, the book's re-read value and it's technical skill (aka it does exactly what the genre it is in requires, has a few clichés that make me cringe but is well put together)

This series is forever going to hold a special place in my heart from when I was 9 and first got it from the library
