Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
5.0
Here is fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. It’s a contemporary fiction in young adult. I loved this book. It’s about a set of twins that go to college. You have Cath & Wren who are twins raised by a single father because their mother had left when they were 8yrs old. We see them talking about having separate rooms and Cath is having a hard time with it since she has shared a room with Wren forever. But Wren wanted to meet new people and not depend on her sister. So, they go to college and get different rooms. Cath gets a roommate that particularly didn’t want her since she’s a junior I believe. Her roommate Reagan and her boyfriend (so she thought) are always trying to get Cath to go out and she just wants to stay in and write fan fiction. One night she gets a 911 text from her sister and Levi takes her to the club her sister was at. Well, it turns out the text was suppose to be for her sisters roommate Courtney because someone she liked was there. Wren couldn’t seem to understand why Cath was upset about the whole situation. Cath returns to her room and doesn’t know what to do. She continues to write fan fiction for Simon Snow. She gets so many hits on her fan fiction. Her sister use to helps but just makes mean comments about it now. She becomes close with Reagan’s boyfriend Levi. She had kissed him one night while reading to him but turns out they were just friends and had dated in high school. Cath had a writing class in college and had kind of gotten in trouble with the teacher because she doesn’t like fan fic. But this is all Cath likes and does. She doesn’t want to make a new world or characters. Cath is worried about her dad because he deals with some mental illness. He goes to the hospital and Cath gets the call from his co worker. She calls Wren but Wren acts like it’s no big deal which kind of erks me. Cath gets Levi to take her to the hospital to see her dad. This begins the silence between her and her sister. Which in al honestly I would probably feel the same way throughout the book just like Cath. She visits her dad on the weekends where as Wren only comes in during breaks like Christmas. Where is when their mother makes contact with the dad....⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
