Another Kincaid brother falls and finds himself loving harder.   Rushton Kincaid knows that he will only have one love in his life and he’s not quite ready to settle.  When he comes to Crosby’s rescue, not once but twice he can’t stop thinking about her.  Crosby hasn’t always had an easy life and even though she wants to find security, she remains unsettled and in a state of unease.  As the new Kindergarten teacher in Willow River, things are looking up and if she has her wish she would like to get a permanent position at the school and make the small town home.

Rush was loving and patient, but he’s a Kincaid so that was no surprise.  He never gives up on Crosby and shows her what love truly is.  The Kincaid family and the way they bond with Crosby to shower her with love and security was beautiful.  But even better was Crosby herself.  She was beautiful, smart, and incredibly strong.  She carried a lot of trauma and insecurities and despite her attraction to Rush she stood behind her decision and held her feelings back.

Rush and Crosby have undeniable chemistry.  There was some insta-connection, but their relationship wasn’t rushed.  The two developed a friendship first.  I loved how the story focused on Crosby’s growth.  She was always alone and when she found herself surrounded by a large group of people who truly loved and accepted her she had to learn to open up her heart and let people in.

This book is about family.  It touched my heart.  It has heartbreak, romance, witty banter, and sweet moments.  The characters are amazing!  With Crosby having Blakely as a student we get so much more of this adorable kid.  She’s sassy, sweet, and hilarious. I loved the way she brought her teacher Miss Crosby Green and uncle Rush together even more.

If you love protective men and moments that will make you laugh while also making you swoon I highly recommend this lighthearted, feel-good series.  This can be read as a standalone with a HEA, but once you meet the family you will want to read the entire series.
