This is not a bad book for its target audience, but if you're older than 12 years it may give you trouble. Kudos to Wes Anderson for building this story out so beautifully and creating some very rich characters and an engaging plot. I did not dread reading chapters of this book to my boy before he went to bed at night, but I certainly didn't look forward to it.
