How to Be Both by Ali Smith
3.0

This book is going to have distil before I can truly give an opinion as the minute I finished it, I wanted to start again. It really tickled my intelligence and...found it wanting! I read the Renaissance story first followed by the contemporary tale and, having done that, thought it was the sensible way to do it but then started festering about whether I might have made more/understood the 15th century content better if I had read it the other way. Hey..maybe that's the point!
Whilst I had moments of wondering if I was up to the challenges of this book, my gut instinct is that it was satisfyingly baffling and thought provoking.
