This short story is part of Amazon's Obsession collection. 

Upon discovering that this was penned by Julia Clark, an author whose work I usually relish, I couldn't resist diving into this one. However, in hindsight, I should have done my research beforehand. Regrettably, this book didn't suit my taste. 

The reasons 1 didn't connect with the story are twofold: firstly, I couldn't relate to or like the characters, and the plot felt overly predictable. Secondly, the book leaned heavily into political agendas, which hindered my ability to fully engage with the otherwise intriguing synopsis.⭐️⭐️⭐️
