I pretty much enjoyed the book, but it's very different for me from another Steinbeck that I read. I get the message of having a dream and living in such a difficult time when people's dreams never came true. I felt attached and empathetic to the main characters and their stories, but for me, it was kind of too fast reading. I feel like the author didn't uncover the stories enough.
