This book was an absolute nightmare! Usually I try to be nice, especially since this is an author I normally love, but this book SUCKED!!!! Gracie is one of the WORST FMC I have ever had the displeasure to read. I hate doormat characters. I find that writing female characters like that lazy and disgusting. But Gracie, was the worst type of doormat. Her family was absolutely horrible. And Gracie was just like, "it's ok. Treat me like crap. I don't care. I live for my family." Nope nope nope. She grew somewhat of a back bone but that was maybe the last 20 pages of this almost 600 page book!!! Hudson, the MMC, was AWFUL too. Completely jerk to Gracie and crass and disgusting. Im all for dirty talk but he took it too far by doing it in front of her family. And again, I love asshole characters, but only when they are sweet to the FMC. They are only soft for one person. Hudson was not that. The only characters that were bearable in this book was Granny Murray and Dakota. They are freaking hilarious and I need more of their shenanigans. Don't waste your time on this book. I don't understand how there are such great reviews when the FMC allows her family to talk to her and push her around the way they do. Even in her professional life, she's a doormat. Ugh!!!!!
