This is my first Ashley Poston, and halfway through, I already knew that I have to add her other works to my TBR pile!

While the book has some magical elements in it, the mundane moments (surprisingly) brought the best parts. Ashley succesfully orchestrated the romance between the leads, mostly while they were sharing the simplest, most domestic activity — having a meal together.

Throughout the book, she also carefully navigated themes of change and loss with such maturity and grace.

Overall, this is a great read and I can see why people often recommend this if you’re going through a slump.
