I was given a review copy in exchange for my honest opinion.
I was so happy to read this book where there was a woman who seemed to be “real”, someone who wasn’t skinny and had a great body, someone I could identify with. The beginning of the book sets the tone for Emmy, it was that page that you keep flipping too so you can remember what happened previously. You knew she was damaged and the prologue let you know how that came to be. Emmy became a strong and independent woman who was extremely insecure about herself. She knew she was good at certain things but was constantly putting herself down even when she was told by her family and friends how amazing she was. Her interactions with Toby and Tessa were awesome. They all three cracked me up and were highly entertaining. Especially when Grady was introduced to them. Grady is also scarred and has a past that at times he would love to forget. Coming to Georgia to start over and to take over for his Uncle Mac when he retires seemed like the best idea for him. He knew that was the best decision he ever made when he saw Emmalynne.
Watching their story and all the twists and turns the book itself took was great! I really want the secondary characters to get their own books as well. I want to see who Toby and Charlie end up with. This book had some issues with grammar and mixing up of names but other than that it was a very enjoyable read. I would give it a 4/5
