Yeah so what everyone online said was true! This book is identical to the last mrs parrish. I read LMP first over a year ago now and it blew me away. The PLOT TWIST!!!!! and i heard the housemaid was similar but the differences made the housemaid so much better and i disagree. The personality of the MC in LMP was opposite and for me it was the reason why the housemaid was less satisfying overall. It’s also weird that the LMP came out WAYYYY before the housemaid and it’s the exact same story down to the plot twist. For goodness sakes in BOTH books the live in help wears the wives clothing and the husband comments on how they don’t fit the wife anymore….. that’s crazy I gave it three stars though because it was still easy to read (i do still love McFadden) and the ending was still satisfying in a way but just strange to read a lazier version of such a great book????
