Here, The World Entire by Anwen Kya Hayward

"the thing about the absence of solitude is that it makes loneliness so much harder to bear."

what a profoundly stunning and tender medusa retelling. this sort of prose style of writing is one i personally am moved by more than traditional syntax and structure, i love how rawness with which this explored such devastating topics of sexual assault.

this is the medusa story more people should be acquainted with: in that she is a survivor of assault, a beautiful wronged woman who was punished for her loveliness by confining her in solitude. this was also profoundly lonely in a sense most survivors of assault usually always are enforcing themselves in isolation out of guilt or fame.

this was just.. everything, basically. i'm so genuinely glad i bought this because this is the entire ao3 hurt/comfort tag personified and i will be religiously re-reading this on the days the loneliness is extra palpable and the devastation from the world too much. i fucking devoured this is one go and don't regret it for a single bit. required reading for #feminism 100%.
