Ew. This reads like a YA at points, not for its content, but for the way the story was delivered/written. And then the author felt the need to throw in big words every few pages that no normal person would ever use in their vocabulary. It just didn't flow. The non consensual scenes had me cringing and wanting to skip to the end. This was a struggle which is sad. The premise had potential to be good and certain moments glimmered the slightest with some hope for saving. But everything feels extremely flat and I'm upset that I wasted money on such a pretty book with terrible writing.
