God Emperor of Dune by Frank Herbert

5.0

Gods below!
This book deserves no introduction nor synopsis, this is simply the God Emperor of Dune.

The journey to this book was fascinating, challenging, and simply the best literary experience I’ve had ever since I willingly bought my first book.
As a child I had no interest for the usual activities common among other kids and often sought places where I could just be by myself.
I can recall moments throughout my childhood where in these spaces of recluse I experienced a growing and shocking awareness of my existence. And lacking the language and other instruments to try to understand better, I found shelter in books.
In stories where characters could be as real, as questioning, as in awe with mere existence as I was.

Little did I know that it would take me 20 years—the perfect moment—to find Leto.

I’ve been reading the Dune saga for a few months and Herbert’s world and philosophy has permeated into my perspective, my relationships and even my creative force in ways that continue to surprise me.

As soon as I finished, I started reading the first page again because I couldn’t believe it was over.

Simply, thank you Frank Herbert.
Can’t wait for what’s next.
