Woman on Fire
by Lisa Barr
I’m going to be honest - this book didn’t really do it for me. I know a lot of people love it, and I can understand why. There’s a great mix of historical fiction with modern events, suspense, romance, murder, and art. I felt like there was almost too much going on here. I normally love multiple POVs and timelines, but I struggled to keep up with this one. I also found Jules kind of annoying, and I realized about halfway through the book that I didn’t particularly care how it would end. I think this book would be better as a movie because of all of the suspense and art references. Even though Woman On Fire wasn’t my favorite, if you like art, historical fiction, and investigative journalism, you might like it!
