Andy Weir stole my heart with this wonderful sci-fi tale - Ray Porter’s excellent narration really added to the story, and overall I just couldn’t stop devouring this book - this story has been occupying my mind 24/7 until I could finally finish it.
The CREATIVITY - there was so much real math and science in this book, combined with Andy’s FASCINATING fictional concepts of Astrophage, Talmoeba, and more. Rocky and his species were just fascinating and lovely - I really enjoyed the way Andy Weir approached alien life, and the MUSICAL LANGUAGE?! Agh - a masterpiece. Absolutely and utterly obsessed😭😍
Truly cannot recommend this book enough, the writing, the deeply flawed but lovable characters, and the heartwarming tale of people and other beings trying to save their homes feels like a timeless tale for the ages🥹
Rocky and Grace will live rent free in my head, and heart, forever🥹❤️

Moderate: Confinement, Death, Drug use, Eating disorder, Panic attacks/disorders, Self harm, Suicidal thoughts, Blood, Excrement, Vomit, Medical content, Grief, Fire/Fire injury, Alcohol, Injury/Injury detail
I tagged eating disorders and drug use because of the food situation/running out - I know specific food content can be triggering when recovering from an ED. As for drugs they are mentioned a few times but nothing intense or continuous.
