The Midnight Library

I rate this 2.5/5 stars
Well, this was a flop.
I really like the premise of this story but the execution didn’t live up to my expectations. The writing is okay. I feel like the character development could’ve been a lot better. If this was given to me as part of a high school reading material, I’d probably gobble this up. But reading as a 20+ year old stuck in a pandemic? Nahhhh
Nora goes on trying on these other possible lives like a new coat and often finds that there are certain details that she just can’t live with. And through the whole thing I felt like she was acting childish. Her adventures aren’t relatable and the transitions, often too abrupt. Nora is literally on her own because I am not invested in her story at all
