Anna, Banana, and the Monkey in the Middle
by Anica Mrose Rissi
I like that this featured what felt to me like a very real conflict, instead of a screwball sitcom-like misunderstanding that often drives kids books. I also appreciated the positive conflict-resolution skills that were depicted, and the ways kids quibbled and struggled without being "bratty."
